UBC Faculty of Law

Between 2007 and 2010, Hope was an integral part of the design team* that is responsible for the new 160,000sf UBC Law Faculty on Point Grey in Vancouver, BC.

Serving as the entry to the UBC campus, the existing law school was tired and outdated.  The team worked together to design a new law school that planned future technology into the building, respects the diverse student population, and will act as a beacon to the UBC campus and beyond.

Hope was personally responsible for implementing the LEED Gold Certification, on site.  She attended client meetings to coordinate ideas and details with the consultants and contractors, including the installation of a geothermal field, to harvest energy.

She was engaged in site planning and design, and implemented the design of the exterior curtain wall and  walls, in details for the construction documents.

Clackamas Al Fresco Dining

Hope has been keeping herself busy lately, working on a design project.

A couple recently called her to help them with a project they've had in mind for years.  As the director of Clarity Communications, Inc., and the Vice President of Loosen Bros., USA, they entertain a lot, and have refurbished their house on the Clackamas River to fully take advantage of the views, and make entertaining a snap.  However, the entrance to the house has always been less than obvious, and they hoped to be able to use their porch for entertaining throughout the year; not just in summer.
This patio cover will extend a couple's living space outdoors, towards their spectacular view of a bend in the river.

Keep looking out for updates on this project!
