N. Portland Basement Renovation

We are working closely with our client, who recently bought a 1930s bungalow in North Portland, near Peninsula Park.  The house has wonderful spaces and rooms upstairs, but the basement feels closed off and cramped.  It definitely screams for more light!
Current Basement Layout - very little light, and rooms are cut off from one another
Current Office
Current Anteroom to Bathroom - there is very little purpose to this room
The first phase of this project is a renovation of the basement to increase the size of the bathroom and improve its usability, make a media room out of two small spaces, increase the amount of light within the space, and improve egress.   The Proposed Basement will have an open media room / wet bar, a larger bathroom with updated finishes and lots of built-in storage.  There will also be separation from the utility room, where there is none currently.  We will be expanding upon the existing built-in cabinetry from the office, and that will hold the new sink and countertops, as well as increased storage.

Stewart / Soens Wedding Stylings

It was my absolute pleasure to assist Ms. Kelli Stewart and Mr. Brannon Soens on their wedding.  Imagine it: last night, 150 friends and family members gathered together to support them, enjoy happy hour, eat at wonderful food carts, dance to a live local band, and share in a very special day.  It was a very Portland wedding, and I mean that in the best way possible.  It was evident that they have great friends and family, as the atmosphere and company were warm and hospitable.

--And the decor wasn't bad either.

Color + Life Creative was so happy to be involved in making their wedding unique and beautiful.

Failing Street Apartment

Hope Telford and her husband, Sebastien, have lived in this space for just over a year.  With just 860sf to work with and entertaining a priority, space efficiency is a MUST!

Many of the pieces in this apartment were rescued from a "magic alley," or given as gifts.  Figuring out how to curate the new and the found is the biggest challenge.  The most important thing done in this ongoing project is editing pieces, to find what is really going to enhance the space.

Both Hope and her husband love to seek out the unique, especially functional items.  What they can't find, they create themselves!
